Double delight for Maharashtra in All India Tennis Tournament Championship Series

RAIPUR: Maharashtra put up a dominating show in the All India Tennis Tournament Championship Series U-18 Boys and Girls to win men’s singles and men’s doubles titles, finals of which were played in Raipur on Friday.

Pradyuman Singh Tomar of Maharashtra registered an easy win over Emon Bhatt of hosts Chhattisgarh. The score remained 6-1, 6-2 in favour of Tomar.

Similarly, the pair of Pradyuman and Parth Deorkar of Maharashtra defeated Chhattisgarh’s Atharwa Raj Balani and Emon Bhatt in straight sets by 7-6(5), 6-2 to win the doubles title.

Earlier, in the women's singles final played on Thursday, Pakhi Bhatt of Chhattisgarh defeated her counterpart Anamya Dubey.
