The Third Sector Business Charity Awards highlighted the life-changing impact of The Co-operative's Charity of the year partnership with Carers Trust after colleagues, members and customers raised £6m to boost support, services and opportunities for thousands of unpaid young adult carers.
Completing the double, The Co-operative Legal Services topped the "Charity Partnership – Financial and Professional" category after teaming-up with Remember A Charity to encourage more people to leave a gift to charity in their Will.
Nick Folland, chief external affairs officer, The Co-operative Group, said: "We are thrilled. The awards illustrate the incredible contribution of The Co-operative's colleagues, members and customers to changing lives, communities and society for the better."
Matt Howells, managing director of The Co-operative Legal Services, said: "This is an exciting partnership and we are delighted to receive such external recognition as we work to develop our Will writing services.
"Making it easier to leave a charitable gift is not only raising much needed money for good causes but also has a very positive emotional impact on customers."
