Double decker bus engulfed by flames at Glasgow Fort

Emergency services have rushed to a busy shopping centre after a double decker bus went up in flames.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are currently on the scene at Glasgow Fort, along with police, after the blaze was reported around 6pm.

No one was on board at the time of the incident, and no one was injured.

One eyewitness described the fire as a "complete inferno".

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "We were called to a report of a bus on fire at Glasgow Fort, around 6pm on Saturday 18 January 2020. Police and fire service are in attendance. There appear to be no injuries."

Drivers are advised to avoid the area around Auchinlea Road while crews battle the fire.
