Double decker bus and car collide in Glasgow City Centre

Emergency services rushed to Renfrew Street in Glasgow City Centre after a double decker bus collided with a car.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received a call shortly before 3pm this afternoon (Saturday), before Police Scotland arrived at the scene.

There were no casualties as a result of the incident, which took place at the junction of Renfield Street and West Nile Street, near to CineWorld and Buchanan Bus Station.

When asked about the collision, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson told Glasgow Live: "We did attend an incident, involving a private car and a double decker bus.

"There was no persons trapped.

"We were making the scene safe. We asked for the police to attend for traffic management.

"There were no casualties either at the incident.

"We remained in attendance with traffic control, awaiting arrival of Police Scotland.

"The call came in at 14.54."
