Double deadline day signing for Nottingham Forest as John Bostock arrives

Nottingham Forest have made it a double deadline day signing by confirming the arrival of midfielder John Bostock.

The former Tottenham Hotspur man has put pen to paper on a season-long loan deal from French side Toulouse.

He follows the arrival of Chema Rodriguez earlier today, with the Spanish defender having agreed a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee from Levante.

The addition of Bostock makes it 12 new arrivals for the Reds this summer – 11 of those since Sabri Lamouchi replaced Martin O’Neill at the helm.

Bostock started out at Crystal Palace then went on to make the move to White Hart Lane, though failed to make a single first-team appearance for Spurs.

He also counts Brentford, Hull City, Sheffield Wednesday, Swindon Town, Toronto, Royal Antwerp, OH Leuven, Lens and Bursaspor as his former clubs.

The 27-year-old made 17 appearances for Toulouse last season, including against Rennes, who were managed by Forest head coach Sabri Lamouchi at the time.

In addition to Bostock and Rodriguez, the Reds have also brought in Sammy Ameobi, Tiago Silva, Yuri Ribeiro, Alfa Semedo, Albert Adomah, Rafa Mir, Samba Sow, Arijanet Muric, Brice Samba and Carl Jenkinson during the summer transfer window.

Heading in the opposite direction, deadline day also saw goalkeeper Luke Steele join Millwall on loan until January.
