Newcastle Knights skipper Mitchell Pearce is set to tie the knot after becoming engaged to his stunning partner Kristin Scott.
On the day his father and ARL Commissioner Wayne Pearce announced the suspended NRL competition will be back up and running on May 28, the Knights playmaker made it a double celebration in the Pearce household, telling to family, friends and teammates about his engagement before publicly releasing the news on Instagram.

"My forever. Best moment of my life," Pearce wrote.
His fiance responded with: "Life has just fallen into place. I cannot wait to be your wife."
Pearce, who turned 31 on Tuesday, has had an at times chequered past off the field during his career but close friends claim Scott has been a great influence since the pair started dating more than a year ago.
