Doting Brooklyn Beckham carries Nicola Peltz to their car after night with in-laws

Brooklyn Beckham was every bit the dutiful husband as he swept Nicola Peltz off her feet and carried her to their car after a late night with his in-laws.

The aspiring chef was spotted cradling Nicola as they headed across a parking lot after having dinner with her parents in Los Angeles.

Brooklyn, 23, was wearing a white shirt and trousers as he swept the actress, who was wearing a black turtle neck jumper, off her feet.

She added a pair of flared black trousers and chunky platform boots and let her long brown hair flow past her shoulders.

Their car was parked in a $9 valet, where they said farewells to friends and family before heading home.

Nicola's mum Claudia Heffner Peltz looked chic in a black suit which she also paired with platforms - just like her daughter.

Their evening out may have been to celebrate Nicola's latest film Welcome To The Chippendales, where she plays murdered 70s Playmate Dorothy Stratten.

The movie was revealed to the public last year, when it was originally titled Immigrant.

It's based on K. Scot Macdonald and Patrick MontesDeOca's book Deadly Dance: The Chippendales Murders, which was published in 2014.

Brooklyn has also been hard at work with his docuseries about his love of cooking.

The celebrity spouse fell in love with cooking during the pandemic and now regularly stars in Facebook Messenger series Cookin' With Brooklyn.

But his latest project will see him enter a handful of restaurants where he will be challenged to cook under pressure.

His new venture has been met with criticism, with many mocking him for his tutorials on how to cook the perfect sandwich.

Defending himself, he told Bustle: "I'm not a professional chef - at all."

"I've never said that. I never would say that. Obviously, my dad [retired soccer star David Beckham ] knew what he was doing at a very young age. I've only been cooking for not even three years."

In the interview, Nicola also addressed the claims that there had been a rift between them and Victoria after she didn't wear one of her designs for the wedding.

She said: "It's not a feud! I keep seeing everywhere that word, 'feud, feud, feud!' I don't know why they say feud? I mean, maybe they picked up on something? And now they're labeling it feud?"

Brooklyn also insisted that "everyone gets along fine", but also opened up about the anxiety he suffers from.

He said that he feels like he has a lot to live up to being the son of one of the best footballers in the world.

Brooklyn said that he wanted to "make his own name for himself".
