Dota 2 Roster News: Miracle- Returns to Nigma Galaxy

Look who's back! (Credit: Nigma Galaxy)

Last week Dota 2 team Nigma Galaxy made a rather significant roster change. The team pretty much let go of most members leaving only Kuro "KuroKy" Salehi Takhasomi. However, they also brought back the King himself Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan.

A few days later, Nigma once again announced an interesting move. It turns out that they were bringing back Amer "Miracle-" Al-Barkawi to the active roster. This should be good news to fans of the team. It's worth noting that it was more than a little over a year ago when it was revealed that Miracle- was being put on the inactive roster. The reason being he needed to deal with health issues and thus had to go on a break.

While there are still two more members to add to the roster, it's a rather interesting turen of events. We you look at past results, the roster with both SumaiL and Miracle- actually did good. Considering that Valve won't be running the usual DPC system, it gives the team time to make other changes needed to success in the upcoming season. The first test of the new roster would likely be DreamLeague Season 22, assuming they qualify.

What do you think? Who should Nigma sign up for the remaining spots on the team?

To Inactive Status

Moving to the other side of Europe, BetBoom also made changes to the roster. Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko has been placed on the inactive roster. His reason looks to be similar to that of Miracle-, when the latter took a break. It looks like Pure needs some time to rest and has to take care of his health. The organization announced that they'll be giving out updates on the status of the roster closer to the start of the new season.

New Season

With Valve no longer running the DPC Season, it doesn't mean that the competitive scene of Dota 2 is dead. Instead, what's going to happen is that the tournament are going to be organized and managed by third-party operators.

What we know so far for example is that the different Dota 2 teams are now gearing up for DreamLeague Season 22. This is going to be by ESL Gaming and is the first of three tournaments that's been announced for 2024.

What about you? Excited for the new competitive season? Dota 2 is available on PC via Steam.
