Dota 2 EWC 2025 schedule and format
The EWC 2025 Dota 2 championship is divided into three stages:
- Group Stage
- Elimination Phase
- Playoffs
The first stage will feature four groups of four teams, competing in a round-robin format, with each team playing a best-of-two series against the others. The top teams from each group after this stage will advance directly to the Playoffs, while the remaining 12 teams will proceed to the Elimination Phase.
The Elimination Phase features a gauntlet bracket, where the third and fourth-placed teams from the groups will face off against each other, with the winner advancing to face the second-placed teams. The four winning teams will proceed to the Playoffs from this round. This round features a regular knockout bracket, which begins with eight teams squaring off against each other in the quarter-finals.
