Here’s everything you need to know about BLAST Slam IV.
Dota 2 BLAST Slam IV format and teams
BLAST Slam IV introduces a format designed to keep competition fierce and audiences engaged from start to finish. The event unfolds across three stages, blending online group matches with offline playoff excitement to maintain fairness while building up to an electrifying grand finale in Singapore.

The action kicks off with all 12 participating teams competing in a single round-robin stage from Oct. 14 to 19, with every match played in a best-of-one format. The top two squads from this phase secure direct spots in the semifinals, while those finishing between third and eighth move on to the Play-In stage.
The teams that land in the bottom four are sent into the Last Chance Playoff, where they must battle for survival in best-of-three elimination matches. Only one team from this round earns a lifeline into the Play-In, making every game critical.
The Play-In stage serves as a second proving ground, with best-of-three matches determining who moves forward to the main playoff bracket. After that, the playoffs adopt a single-elimination format, running from Nov. 7 to 9, with every series played as a best-of-three, except for the grand final, which is a best-of-five showdown.
The final three days take place in front of a live audience at the Singapore Indoor Stadium, setting the stage for one of the most exciting Dota 2 events of the year.
This year’s lineup features a mix of directly invited powerhouses and regional qualifier victors. In a recent shake-up, MOUZ stepped in to replace PARIVISION, while Execration took Talon Esports’ spot following logistical and operational changes.
