Paris Saint-Germain coach Thomas Tuchel has said Neymar will play against Borussia Dortmund in the teams’ Champions League last-16 first leg on Tuesday night, marking the Brazil international’s return from a rib injury.

Neymar last played in his side’s 5-0 thrashing of Montpellier in Ligue 1 on 1 February.

Since then, the winger has missed PSG’s league clashes with Nantes, Lyon and Amiens, as well as the Coupe de France quarterfinal win over Dijon.

“Neymar will most certainly play tomorrow,” Tuchel said on Monday.

“It obviously changes a lot. He has the capacity to produce decisive things.

“It changes everything for his team-mates, it brings confidence and creativity.”

Neymar has 15 goals and 10 assists in 18 appearances in all competitions this season, and will be a welcome addition to Tuchel’s squad as the German returns to the Westfalenstadion, where he coached Dortmund for two years, winning the DFB Pokal in 2017.
