A highly-anticipated new Italian kitchen-brewery set to open on George Square has teased what Glaswegians can expect by unveiling its full beer menu.
Doppio Malto will throw open the doors to its first UK venue in the heart of Glasgow city centre this August.
One of Italy's leading restaurant groups, celebrated in Europe for its casual dining restaurant opening offering, operates from 28 different locations across seven regions of Italy - and one in France - and will soon arrive in our country for the very first time in the beautiful former home of Jamie Oliver's Italian on George Square.
And ahead of the exciting new opening, the team behind Doppio Malto have revealed the 15 different craft beers which will be on offer, alongside flavoursome Italian food - including an extensive menu of BBQ meats, pizzas, pastas and homemade desserts.
They said: "Imported from Doppio Malto’s two breweries in Italy, located in Como and Sardinia, the full range of beers will be available in the new Glasgow venue when it opens next month. Served either bottled or on tap - and with bespoke glassware, each beer packs a punch owing to its artisanal recipe created by Doppio Malto’s team of brewers.
"The Doppio Malto team carefully selects the fresh ingredients that make every beer special and unique, from the hand-cut fresh zinger that features in the ‘Zingibeer’ to the Italian valley honey to feature in ‘Crash Beer’.
"Well-established throughout Europe, Doppio Malto will open its first UK venue in Glasgow during August with craft beer and casual-dining at its heart; designed to be a “happy place” where customers can come to relax, unwind and enjoy time with friends and family.
"Since opening its first brewery in Como in 2004, Doppio Malto has scooped more than 100 international awards for excellence specifically for its beer. On the beer menu, each recipe comes with extensive tasting notes, as well as a beer recommendation to suit your mood - for example, “stubborn and cooling” Oak Pils or “Rough and spicy” Zingibeer."
