Doorman faces jail for murder of British doctor and his fiancée

A former doorman is facing jail today for the brutal murder of a London-born doctor and his fiancée in a suspected jewellery raid on their Boston home.

Bampumim Teixeira, 33, stabbed to death Dr Richard Field and Dr Lina Bolanos at their £1.5 million apartment in May 2017.

US investigators found that Teixeira, who had worked at the building as a concierge and was seen lurking outside on the night of the murders, had scrawled “he killed my wife” and “payback” on the walls and crossed out Dr Field’s face in photos.

Dr Field, 48, originally from Hammersmith, had texted a friend to call the police but when officers arrived, they found the couple dead.
