Door smashed in as police arrest two men and seize stash

This was the home police smashed their way into in Norris Green where they found an air gun and drugs.

Officers executed a search warrant on Hazelslack Road this morning as part of Operation Vermont, a proactive Merseyside Police drive to find criminals within communities.

The raid led them to a large amount of cannabis, drugs paraphernalia and an air weapon.

Two men, 23 and 28, were arrested on suspicion of production of cannabis, possession with intent to supply cannabis, possession of criminal property, possession of a controlled drug Class A and possession of a prohibited weapon.

Both men have been taken to custody for questioning.
