Staying physically and mentally healthy is very important especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, which has brought us loss and grief for almost two years.
According to a recent survey on the mental health of Thais by Bangkok Poll, most of those surveyed were worried about a new wave of the virus outbreak and feared getting infected. Many others were under stress due to inadequate income, debt and their children's education.
It's not an exaggeration to say that everyone must have encountered loss in some form or another. What they want most in such difficult times is someone to listen to their grief.
To lend their ear and offer moral support to those in need, a volunteer group called "Doolae Jai" was formed with a determination to help people recover their losses and move forward with understanding.
The group is comprised of more than 20 professional mental coaches who were trained by expert psychiatrists. They have more than 20 years of experience in mental health care services.
Their non-for-profit services are supported by Peaceful Death, Jitarsa Bank, Satir Association for Human Development and Psychotherapy, Contemplative Education Center and Happiness Explorer.
Anyone looking for a non-judgemental person with positive energy to listen to their pain can register and make a reservation without fee via doolaejai.com. The services will be conducted via Zoom or Line Call and their stories will be kept confidential.
However, the services are not suitable for those with mental disorders and cannot replace proper medical care under a doctor's supervision.
