Donovan Mitchell sparks a heated debate about the rules of Uno with one tweet

Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell is out here igniting debates about the classic card game Uno.

On Monday, he asked a question on Twitter along with a poll: “Do you have to say uno out when you play your last card in [Uno]??? Heated debate rn wit the fam.”

Now, I have been playing Uno since before Mitchell was born and I have NEVER heard that rule. I know you’re supposed to say “Uno!” when you have one card left or you’re penalized by having to draw two cards.

But according to nearly 62 percent of some 56,000 people who voted in the poll, this is a thing!

But Uno itself weighed in and all hell broke loose:

That being said, I now know it is VERY popular to say “Uno out,” and I’m adopting it for future games because it sounds so fun to put down that final card and shout “UNO OUT!!” to the world.
