Donovan Mitchell opens up about Rudy Gobert and coronavirus diagnosis

Utah Jazz star Donovan Mitchell tested positive for coronavirus and has been using his platform to encourage everyone to “behave responsibly” during the pandemic.

On Monday, he spoke to Good Morning America and revealed he’s completely “asymptomatic,” a frightening reminder that someone can have COVID-19 and look like he or she isn’t sick at all.

Mitchell was also asked by Robin Roberts if he had communicated with teammate Rudy Gobert, who apologized for his actions while he had the virus.

“To be honest with you,” he replied, “it took a while for me to kind of cool off and I read what he said and heard what he said. I’m glad he’s doing okay, I’m glad I’m well. I’m just really happy, to be honest, Robin, that it … wasn’t the whole (team).”
