Donny van de Beek 'wants to quit Man Utd' amid claims Ole Gunnar Solskjaer didn't want him

Donny van de Beek is reportedly ready to quit Manchester United at the end of the season.

The Netherlands international, who joined the Red Devils from Ajax for £35million in the summer transfer window, has started just two games under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer this season.

And according to the Daily Star, Van de Beek has had enough and is ready to put his nightmare behind him.

Van de Beek plans to hold showdown talks with Manchester United's executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward before the end of the season to ask why he's been ignored.

The report emerges amid claims Red Devils boss Solskjaer never wanted to sign Van de Beek in the first place.

Van de Beek, 23, has received much advice from his compatriots this season, with many believing he should leave Man United as his lack of game time could damage his chances of Euro selection.

Marco van Basten claimed the midfielder shouldn't have moved to Old Trafford, saying it was "a really bad" decision and that it was "shocking" for his rhythm.

Rafael van der Vaart, meanwhile, said he "wouldn't have stood for it" if had been put into a similar situation by a manager upon joining a new club.

And finally, Ronald de Boer, whose brother Frank is now Holland boss, claimed that Van de Beek "may have to declare that he should be loaned or even sold" if his position at United doesn't improve.
