Donny van de Beek 'upset' at Man Utd and 'doesn't want to give interviews' anymore

Donny van de Beek is reportedly disappointed and upset at Manchester United, and doesn't want to give interviews anymore.

The Red Devils midfielder has struggled for game time at Old Trafford since his £35million transfer from Ajax in the summer window.

Van de Beek had to wait until late November to make his first Premier League start under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and was given no minutes over the Christmas and New Year's period.

Dutch press advised Van de Beek to 'pack his bags straightaway' if he was left out of Man United's Carabao Cup semi-final defeat by Man City.

But the midfielder was given just two minutes at the end of the clash.

According to Dutch publication Soccer News, Van de Beek, who has kept his cards close to his chest in recent weeks, is said to be upset and disappointed.

The report adds that the Holland international doesn't want to give interviews as a result.

Van de Beek has received much advice in recent months as his lack of game time has been a huge talking point in his native Holland.

Ronald de Boer recently instructed the midfielder to talk to the United board to clarify his position at the club.

De Boer told AD: "Euro 2020 is coming, he will undoubtedly want to be there. Maybe it would be good for him to discuss with the club exactly what they want with him.

"If the view on playing time does not improve, he may have to declare that he should be loaned or even sold.

"You have to be lucky every now and then. Of course it doesn't look great now, but with a great performance it can suddenly change completely.

"We also don't know what's going on behind the scenes. Perhaps they have made certain agreements with his transfer, they will get him ready for next year this season.

"That always remains a bit of a guess."
