Manchester United target Donny van de Beek is expected to be on the move, but not until the summer.
Ajax were able to retain the Dutchman in the summer when several of their established stars moved elsewhere.
Van de Beek remains on Real Madrid's radar while United are also interested, but he has stated that he won't leave Amsterdam this month.
The 22-year-old though is open to a move to the Premier League in the summer should an offer be made.
"It is not that I can or want to do something at the moment," Van de Beek told FOX Sports Netherlands .
"I have said it before, and I will say it again: I will remain at Ajax this season. And maybe next season as well.
"These reports about Real Madrid or Man United are a good sign, but it is not important now. I've said I will stay at Ajax and I will do so for 100 per cent."
Van de Beek's representatives have held talks with people within the Netherlands set up to settle on what his best position is as they look to put him in the shop window.
Last season he played as a lone striker for Ajax as they reached the semi-finals of the Champions League, but is equally capable of playing in midfield.
The Dutchman's current deal in the country's capital runs until 2022 leaving Ajax in no rush to sell.
United may yet fill their void in midfield before Van de Beek decides on his next move with Bruno Fernandes' transfer edging closer.
The Portuguese star is keen on a £50m move to Old Trafford from Sporting Lisbon having been pursued ahead of James Maddison and Jack Grealish due to his availability.
