Donny van de Beek is expecting big things from Manchester United this season after a 'fantastic' transfer window for the Old Trafford giants.
A move four years in the making, Jadon Sancho is a United player after Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund agreed to sanction his £72.9million return to the Premier League - while Raphael Varane followed him through those same doors after a decade with Real Madrid.
United saved the best until last, though, by re-signing five-time Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo from Juventus.
Of course, the 36-year-old won three Premier League titles and the 2008 Champions League during his first spell at Old Trafford, which spanned six memorable years between 2003 and 2009.
He also scored 118 goals and laid on 69 assists from 292 games across all competitions.
Back for a second act, Ronaldo and those other signings will raise the levels at United, according to Van de Beek.
Speaking to former United captain Rio Ferdinand during an exclusive, in-depth interview on his ever-popular FIVE podcast, the Netherlands international said: "It's fantastic. To be with these players on the pitch is fantastic, also to train with them, everything.
"I think that's what we need, winners. I'm really positive about us this season. I think we can make big steps now.
"Of course, the level goes up, for sure. You see that [in training].
"If good players come to the team, the level goes up. It's strange because you train with maybe 24 players, but any one of those good players, they can make a difference."
Van de Beek, 24, added: "They are all different players, but for me, of course, Cristiano. Everybody knows him.
"Jadon is a fantastic player, also, and Varane is really, really good, he has a lot of experience and I really like his style. They are all fantastic, but they are different."
