Manchester United star Donny van de Beek will reject offers from other clubs this summer as he's determined to stay at the Red Devils.
The midfielder had an underwhelming first season at United and didn't render much game time in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's team.
Due to the 24-year-old's lack of involvement last term he had been linked to several clubs across Europe this summer but it's thought he does not want a transfer.
It's been reported that the Netherlands international is feeling "fit, fresh and ready for the challenge" heading into the upcoming campaign after injury troubles.
A groin problem meant he missed out on competing at Euro 2020 earlier this summer.
Van de Beek is ready to fight for his spot in the team, according to the Manchester Evening News.
The star could start proving himself to Solskjaer in their pre-season against Brentford on Wednesday as he is due to link-up with the side on Monday.
The Dutchman spoke about his lack of game time last season.
He said in November: "I'm a patient person, but of course you go there to play as much as possible.
"I also think – in the minutes that I have made, in the times that I have come in – I have shown that I can add something to the team."
Van de Beek joined United last season from Ajax and scored on his debut against Crystal Palace.
He is determined to see out his five-year contract rather than bow out a year into the deal.
And Solskjaer will be hoping he finds form as the manager is under pressure to win trophies this season after not collecting a title since taking over in 2018.
The boss came close last season with a second place Premier League finish and losing to Villarreal on penalties in the Europa League final.
The Norwegian has discussed the last term, saying it was disappointing.
He said: “No, it is not a successful season of course. That is the fine margins in football. Sometimes one kick can decide if a season is successful or not.
"There has been improvement, yes, we were second in the league and nobody really expected that after the start we had and the lack of pre-season.
“The boys have been really good but just came up short tonight on penalties. Trophies matter and that’s what matters at this club, so no (it has not been a successful season).”
Time will only tell if Solskjaer will make room for Van de Beek to prove himself at the club.
