Dele Alli is giving Jose Mourinho quite a simple decision to make as he prepares for the Premier League opener against Everton.

Tottenham have started their pre-season fixtures with successive wins over Ipswich Town, Reading and Birmingham City, with the 24-year-old more than playing his part so far.

His strike was reminiscent of the old Alli and he is doing everything right as possible as he looks to become an integral part of the Spurs team once again.

Donny van de Beek alternatives

Donny van de Beek looks on course to become a Manchester United player later this week.

The Red Devils have agreed a fee in the region of £40m with Ajax and the deal is expected to be finalised over the coming days.

Van de Beek, who scored against Tottenham in the Champions League semi-final tie in N17 last year, has made quite a name for himself in the Eredivisie and a number of top clubs have been linked with him in the past.

football.london understands that the Lilywhites do hold a strong interest in the Dutch international and they have tracked him for a number of seasons now.

However, their financial position at present means they would have had to sell players before they could even contemplate thinking about launching a move for the Ajax star.
