Donny van de Beek agent issues transfer update amid Manchester United links

Donny van de Beek’s agent admits he does not know what the future holds for the Ajax midfielder amid reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.

The 22-year-old was one of the breakout stars of last season's Champions League, as Ajax came within a whisker of making the final after dumping out Juventus and Real Madrid.

Van de Beek had scored 10 goals and provided 11 assists so far this season before fixtures were suspended amid the coronavirus pandemic with reports suggesting Real Madrid and United could look to sign him this year.

Speaking about the rumours the player's agent Guido Albers gave an update on the transfer rumours which are circulating.

“What’s going to happen to Donny? Nobody knows at the moment,” Albers told Voetbal International, as quoted by Tribal Football.

“The interest, that is known, has been there from several clubs for a long time.

“We will see what will come out in the coming weeks. I dare not say anything about it and can not say anything about it, also because some things are confidential. The situation per club will have changed and we have to look closely at that.”
