Donna Air has revealed where she bought a coronavirus test from after revealing she's recovered from the virus.
It was on Wednesday the former Byker Grove actress and Dancing on Ice contestant shocked her many social media followers with the news that she'd test positive for coronavirus in a lengthy Instagram statement which read: " I just wanted to let you know developed mild flu like symptoms and started self isolating 18 days ago, I took a test for some clarity & the results tested positive for Covid19.
"Thankfully symptoms improved shortly after and my loved ones are not displaying any signs of the virus. I will continue to follow government guidelines & in the meantime I am sending masses of love to you all, especially those on the front line."
Donna added: "I am aware what a privilege it is to be able access tests privately, so I have donated some to friends working for the @NHS. I feel relieved having consulted my gp who has confirmed it is safe to see my daughter again."
The 40-year-old was questioned on how she managed to get her hands on a test, given the huge demand for them nationwide, and answering candidly on Twitter, she wrote: "I purchased from Harley private medical centre and another supplier up north."
Some people were left unimpressed with Donna, with one angry Twitter user ranting: "NOTE THE "I AM AWARE WHAT A PRIVILEGE IT IS TO HAVE ACCESS TO TESTS PRIVATELY ???...I WOULD BE EMBARRASSED TO SHARE THAT WITH THE WORLD AND NHS WORKERS!!" and another tweeting: "Shame us frontline workers don’t have your money for a private test!"
