Donna Air's social media followers have reacted with shock at finding out how old she is.
The Geordie actress jetted off to St Tropez for her birthday on Saturday, meaning she is celebrating in luxurious style today, surrounded by friends and family, including daughter Fraya, her child ex Damien Aspinall.
But it was when she revealed her age on Instagram that people were stunned. Donna is now 41 but has maintained the youthful looks she was famous for when she first shot to fame on Byker Grove in the early 90s.
So, while she has now been in showbiz for nearly 30 years, some people are struggling to comprehend she is now into her fourth decade.
Donna posted a picture of the St Tropez night sky on her Instagram with which she wrote: "Apparently I was born under this moon 41 years ago today," before thanking her mum and Freya for "being the best parts" of her.
Her Instagram feed was flooded with birthday messages from friends as was her Twitter page, but one user exclaimed: "I hope you don't mind me saying this Donna but i don't think that you look 41 because you look younger than that," with Donna thanking them for the compliment.
After initially finding fame as Grover Charlie Charlton from the age of just 10, Donna and co-stars Jayni Hoy and Vicky Taylor set their sights on the pop charts, with single Love Your Sexy peaking at number 46.
She and Jayni then attempted to ‘do a PJ and Duncan’, launching the double act Crush.
Their singles Jellyhead and Luv’d Up didn’t make the Top 40 here, but won them fans in Japan and America.
Donna then forged a successful career as turned TV presenter which saw her at the helm on the likes of The Big Breakfast and MTV’s Total Request Live.
Donna, who was once in a long-term relationship with Kate Middleton's brother James, also showed off her skills on Dancing on Ice in 2018 has recently been back on screen in BBC drama series The Split.
