Donkey Kong Country is coming to Nintendo Switch this month

The rage-inducing, yet beloved Super Nintendo classic Donkey Kong Country will soon be on the Nintendo Switch.

Donkey Kong Country will be headlining a pretty impressive lineup of games available in the new wave of retro NES and SNES drop on July 15 for Nintendo Switch Online members.

If you've played it on the SNES, you'll remember just how legitimately soul-destroying and unforgiving the game can be, but that's part of the reason it is so cherished by fans.

Also being added to the ever-growing library of retro games is the 1994 game Natsume Championship Wrestling for the SNES, while RPG The Immortal will be added to the NES library.

All three of these games will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online service on July 15.

If you don't have a membership, which is also required to play multiplayer games online, it's incredibly easy and relatively cheap to get one.

Simply purchase one of the subscription options on your Switch through the E-Shop. The Nintendo Switch Online service costs £3.49 a month, £7 for three months or £18 a whole year.

Once you're a subscriber, you'll also get immediate access to the huge library of NES and SNES games, which you will then be able to play emulated on your Switch.

If you're big on your retro games, this is definitely worth the price of a subscription and more titles are added every month.
