Doner Hub Cathcart to launch for deliveries this weekend

A brand new food spot is set to launch in Glasgow's south side this weekend with the arrival of Doner Hub.

Taking over the kitchen at the former Barbarossa unit on Clarkston Road, by Cathcart train station, the new venue will serve up a healthy alternative to the normal doner kebab, with produce coming direct from Germany.

Doner Hub will be operating on a delivery-basis only at first - starting this Saturday at 5pm - and orders can be made either on Deliveroo or Uber Eats.

The eatery may look at opening as a takeaway in the future in the Cathcart area.

Suhail Sharif, owner of Doner Hub, told Glasgow Live: “It’s something that isn’t available, certainly in the south side. There is no German donor place here. Apart from the city centre, it’s not available at all.

"We’ll have a beef kebab and chicken kebab coming off the skewer. The produce is coming from Germany and it’s certainly a healthy alternative to the normal doner kebab.

"It’s too early to say what our set-up will be in the future in terms of having a proper shop front and takeaway, but we want to stay in the Cathcart area."
