Donegal club Naomh Conaill have become the latest to suspend activities as a player awaits the result of a Covid-19 test.
Clubs around the country have taken precautions to ensure coronavirus is not spread among their members by temporarily shutting down in recent weeks.
Naomh Conaill have taken that step and issued a statement which read: "Due to a pending Covid-19 test result, the club has taken the decision to suspend all activities in all age grades and codes pending result of the test.
"The club has informed CLG Dhun na nGall and will be acting on the guidelines issued by CLG Dhun na nGall, the GAA and the HSE.
"The club has since returning to play adhered to GAA and HSE guidelines and the wellbeing of our members and community is paramount in everything we do."
Current GAA guidelines advise that any individuals who display symptoms of the killer bug should avoid all further activities until a test can be arranged, if required.
Players can return to play 48 hours after a negative test, assuming they are displaying no symptoms.
However if the test is positive, the club must undergo significant contact tracing in conjunction with public health officials.
Any close contacts will be tested and undergo follow-up checks, while casual contacts will be advised about their risk and encouraged to contact their GP if symptoms develop.
