A Donegal man who died in a tragic work-related incident in the UK last week is due to be laid to rest this weekend.

The funeral of the 57-year-old will take place on Sunday, December 5, in Star of the Sea Church in Annagry at 1pm, which will also be broadcast online, and he will be buried afterwards in the new cemetery.

His remains will repose at his home in Ardveen on Friday from 11am and also on Saturday.

He is survived by his loving partner Sheila Duffy, his children, as well as his mother Kitty and his four brothers and five sisters.

Mr Tracey was working for a well-known haulier when the fatal incident happened. It is believed the lorry contained a load of stone which was being unloaded at the time.

He had been working for the company for around four years.

Members of his family traveled to Manchester upon hearing the tragic news of Mr Tracey's death.

The exact circumstances of the tragedy are not yet known.

A full investigation into the circumstances has been launched by the Health and Safety Executive.
