Donegal man Carl McHugh signs for Indian club ATK

Donegal man Carl McHugh has signed for Robbie Keane’s old club in India.

The former Motherwell captain, 26, today sealed a switch to Super League side ATK on a two-year deal.

“Carl is a very versatile, exciting player. His talent and leadership skills will impact the team in a very positive way,” said ATK boss Antonio Lopez Habas.

McHugh spent a short loan stint in the League of Ireland when he played for Dundalk while on the books at Reading.

He was a key part of Bradford City's legendary League Cup run in the 2012-13 season, where he scored a vital goal against Aston Villa in the semi-final and was lauded for his involvement against Arsenal in the round prior.
