DONE DEAL! St Mirren make second signing of the day as Jamie McGrath joins up

Creative midfielder Jamie McGrath has joined fellow Irishman Conor McCarthy in signing up at St Mirren today.

The Buddies announced the acquisition of defender McCarthy this morning, the former teammate of Sean McLoughlin joining from Cork City on a two-and-a-half year deal.

Now McGrath has followed suit after linking up for the same length of time after leaving Dundalk last month when his contract expired.

Delighted gaffer Jim Goodwin said: "Jamie’s a really exciting one.

"He can play a number of positions across the front area.

"He can play that number 10, he can play right or left, he’s technically very good and very comfortable on the ball.

"He’s been a big player for Dundalk over the last few seasons and he’s been a key member to their success of recent seasons."

Jamie began his career at St Patrick’s Athletic before winning a move to League of Ireland champions Dundalk in 2017 where he made over 100 appearances.
