Chelsea supporters have a theory that Callum Hudson-Odoi's contract extension has been taken care off.
The winger's current deal with the west London outfit expires in less than 12 months and has been the subject of interest from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich in the past two transfer windows.
However, the Blues have rejected several bids from the German outfit and talks with the teenager are progressing well judging by the numerous hints and teases on social media in recent weeks.
Amid all the speculation, Hudson-Odoi uploaded a picture to Twitter of himself in this season's new Chelsea kit with a caption reading '19/20...'
Then Trevoh Chalobah echoed the thoughts of many Chelsea fans when he replied with "sign it" accompanied with the heart eyes emoji.
Hudson-Odoi's future has been one of the longest-running transfer sagas this summer but it looks like his future is finally set to be resolved.
Football.London understands that the 19-year-old is set to pen a five-year contract worth around £100,000 per week.
But has the announcement been spoiled?
An Instagram post from Hudson-Odoi's barbershop reads: "Look like we stuck together for another few years my G let’s continue to keep it HD."
However, Blues head coach Frank Lampard spoke out about Hudson-Odoi's contract situation.
"No, no news," he told reporters following the 2-2 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach on Saturday.
"No news from the last time I spoke about it and it hasn't been my priority to be honest."
Although that hasn't stopped some fans from getting excited and thinking that all that is left is the official announcement.
