Donatella Versace has described Donald Trump as a “weak man”.
The Italian fashion designer, 63, said she feels a responsibility to talk about the world’s “dangerous” political situation and does not care how her views are perceived.
She told Attitude magazine: “At the moment, I’m at peace with myself and I don’t give a shit what people think...
“We live in a very scary moment for our freedom, for the freedom of everybody... It cannot go on like this.”
Referring to the US president, she added: “This is a moment to talk about it and say, ‘Guys, listen: don’t be seduced by what you think is a strong man.
“‘That’s not a strong man; that’s a weak man using those words to put fear in you’.”
Versace, vice president and chief designer of the Versace Group, is close friends with Lady Gaga, who wrote a song about her in 2013 entitled Donatella.
