Donald Trump to fly to Scotland for golf trip after US Presidential election defeat, bookies predict

Scotland’s bookies are backing Donald Trump to play golf at Turnberry to help get over losing the US election to Joe Biden.

Coral have offered odds of 1-2 for the ex president to return to Scotland by the end of 2021 and play 18 holes at his resort.

They also say Trump is 2-1 to pick up the reins of his TV show, The Apprentice, now he’s been beaten in the race to the White House.

Coral’s John Hill said: “Donald Trump loves his golf and we think he may see Turnberry as the perfect place to escape if his election defeat is confirmed.

“Looking further ahead, there may be a return to the TV screens for the president on Apprentice USA where he can regain power once again on who he fires."

It was confirmed on Saturday afternoon that Democrat nominee, Joe Biden, had finally picked up Pennsylvania to win the hotly contested election.

Counts in three other key states are continuing but Mr Biden has now exceeded the target of 270 Electoral College votes to clinch victory.

He is also on course to break the 300 barrier if counts continue to go in his favour.

As tensions across the US mounted with Mr Trump making baseless claims of voting ‘irregularities’, Mr Biden appealed for people to be more “civil with one another.”
