On Monday night, Donald Trump announced Ohio Sen. JD Vance as his running mate, a decision that filled Shalabh “Shalli” Kumar with pride. However, it wasn't just Vance alone that sparked Kumar's reaction. It was also Vance's wife, Usha, a 38-year-old Yale graduate and the daughter of Indian immigrants.

Shalabh Kumar expressed pride in the decision.

Donald Trump chose JD Vance as his running mate.

Usha Vance, a Yale graduate, also contributed to Kumar's reaction.

Kumar, the founder of the Republican Hindu Coalition and the chair of the Hindu and Indian Coalition of the Republican National Committee, expressed his belief that the Vances will represent a new generation of Americans.
