People across the world are horrified: Donald Trump, the leading Republican candidate for the White House, announced a “policy” to ban all Muslims from entering the United States if he is elected next year.

And then the candidate doubled down on his anti-Muslim comments. His proposals were “probably not politically correct”, the candidate said aboard an aircraft carrier.

And then he said three more hurtful words: “I. Don’t. Care.”

Well, we do care. And if you do, too, please share your thoughts. The Guardian would like to invite you to be join a collective, worldwide response to Trump’s latest remarks: #WeDoCare.

What do you have to say to Donald Trump? What do you have to say to the world? Why do you care about his anti-Muslim comments? What do think the implications could be? Where should this conversation turn next? And do you think the candidate should be denounced?

If you would like to be part of this unifying effort, please contribute a short statement by clicking the “Contribute with GuardianWitness” button above or below. Share only one sentence or a few paragraphs about what Trump’s words mean to you.
