Donald Trump's lewd comments about Princess Diana revealed ahead of royal meeting

Donald Trump once bragged he could have bedded Princess Diana in a lewd interview shortly before her death.

Then just a property magnate, the current US President agreed he could have "nailed" the mother-of-two in a shocking interview with Howard Stern.

Stern begins by asking Trump, now 72, why people thought he was being "egotistical" in claiming he "could’ve gotten with Lady Di?"

"You could’ve gotten her, right? You could’ve nailed her," Stern said, to which Trump agreed, "I think I could have."

The duo then acted out a bizarre skit in which Trump pretended to offer Diana a "little check-up" in his Lexus, before he gushed over her "beautiful skin".

“She was actually really beautiful. I thought she was supermodel beautiful," Trump said.

“She had times when she didn’t look great and she had times when she looked better than anyone in the world."

The interview took place in 1997, just months before Diana was killed in a Paris car crash aged 36.

And Trump - who is set to meet her sons William and Harry on his June trip to the UK - sensationally suggested she'd still be alive if she'd been dating him and not Dodi Fayed.

“I know that tunnel in Paris. It’s got, like, a 30-mile limit," he said, referencing the site of the tragedy.

“If you look at this tunnel – and I really know that tunnel well, I’ve been through that tunnel many times – you can’t go more than like 30, 40 miles.”

That same year, he also leered over Diana in his book, The Art of the Comeback.

“I only have one regret in the women department, that I never had the opportunity to court Lady Diana Spencer," he said.

It appears, however, that the feeling was not mutual with Diana's friend, Selina Scott, claiming the shameless self-promoter gave Diana “the creeps”.

She said: “He bombarded Diana with massive bouquets of flowers. She became increasingly concerned.”

Trump is expected to come face-to-face with Prince Harry at a private lunch on the first day of his UK visit, and welcome Prince William and Kate as guests to a banquet a few hours later.
