Donald Trump reacts to Robert Kraft’s charges for solicitation of prostitution

New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft’s charges of soliciting prostitution in Palm Beach County seemed to stun his friend, President Donald Trump.

“Well it’s very sad, I was very surprised to see it,” Trump said Friday, via CNN. “He’s (Kraft) proclaimed his innocence totally, but I’m very surprised to see it.”

Trump and Kraft built a relationship before the president forayed into politics. When Trump was in real estate and television, he would spend time on the Patriots’ sidelines and locker rooms.

Police announced on Friday that Kraft is facing two misdemeanor charges for soliciting prostitution at Orchids of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida. Kraft has denied any wrongdoing. Police issued a warrant for his arrest after investigators said they had video evidence of Kraft’s alleged solicitation. Kraft is one of 25 charged for being alleged solicitation at that particular spa.
