While US President Donald Trump wants to welcome Norwegians rather than people from some other countries he’s reported to have called “s***holes,” the richest Scandinavians aren’t exactly beating down the door.
In fact, more people are moving from the US to Norway than the other way around.
In 2016, 895 people emigrated from the US to Norway, while only 502 went the other way, according to Statistics Norway.
There are, of course, many people of Norwegian ancestry living in the US.
An estimated 800,000 Norwegians moved across the Atlantic from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s.
