Republican Donald Trump is overhauling his campaign once again, bringing in a senior figure from the right-wing website Breitbart News as chief executive and promoting a pollster to campaign manager.
The move comes just 82 days before the election and represents yet another campaign shake-up for the tumultuous campaign.
It means Breitbart News' Stephen Bannon becomes the campaign's chief executive while Kellyanne Conway takes on the role of campaign manager.
Mr Trump told The Associated Press in a phone interview that he's known both people for a long time. He said: “They're terrific people, they're winners, they're champs, and we need to win it.”
Mr Bannon had previously been cited by campaign insiders as persuading Mr Trump he needed to adopt a "gloves off" approach if he was to defeat Hillary Clinton in November.
It is the latest shake-up in a turbulent campaign and comes amid growing signs that he is headed for a big defeat.
Opinion surveys show Trump trailing his Democratic rival Ms Clinton nationally and in key battleground states.
Mr Trump says his campaign chair, Paul Manafort, will maintain his current role.
The overhaul follows weeks of turmoil during which Mr Trump has become bogged down in personal attacks against a Muslim family who spoke at the Democratic National Convention, faced scrutiny of his campaign's links to Russia and the Ukraine and at times struggled to define his policies.
It comes a day after it emerged that he has begun working with the disgraced former head of Fox News and longtime Republican heavyweight, Roger Ailes, on debate preparation.
The latest development was first reported by the Wall Street Journal.
