Donald Trump lost his teleprompter at the UN but still managed to find his two favorite hobbies

United States President Donald Trump was not having the best day this Tuesday. His visit to the United Nations headquarters was characterized by extreme chaos. First, while trying to reach the location where he was supposed to address the congregation, the escalator malfunctioned. Later, while trying to speak, the teleprompter stopped working.

Donald Trump made sure that he expressed his dissatisfaction over both matters in his speech. Complaining about the incident in an almost accusatory tone, Trump remarked:

“All I got from the United Nations was an escalator that, on the way up, stopped right in the middle. If the first lady wasn’t in great shape, she would have fallen. But she’s in great shape. We’re both in good shape. We both stood. And then a teleprompter. That didn’t work.”

Noting the shortcomings of the United Nations during his visit, he further reiterated:

“These are the two things I got from the United Nations. A bad escalator and a bad teleprompter.”

His speech, which lasted about an hour, also included other key elements that have become largely synonymous with Trump since his return to office. In a shameless display of blatant lies mixed with a bit of chest-thumping, Trump claimed to have stopped seven wars in the past couple of months. He said:

“In a period of just seven months, I have ended seven unending wars.”

He also spoke about ending inflation, saying:

“Grocery prices are down. Inflation has been defeated. More than $17 trillion is being invested in the United States. And it’s now pouring in from all parts of the world.”

However, these claims are far from being true. Inflation in the United States is at an all-time high. Meanwhile, as Trump claims, he has not ended seven wars, some of which he had little to no awareness of or involvement in.
