Donald Trump has posted a New Year’s Day message lashing out at “the haters” in an explosive tweet in capital letters.
The US President’s post hit out at those “suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome” and took swipes at the media.
Mr Trump also looked forward to the new year in his message, writing that 2019 would be a good year for the USA.
The 72-year-old wrote: “HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE HATERS AND THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA! 2019 WILL BE A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR THOSE NOT SUFFERING FROM TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.
“JUST CALM DOWN AND ENJOY THE RIDE, GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR OUR COUNTRY!”
Mr Trump’s New Year greeting comes after he posted a video of himself outside the White House on New Year’s Eve, where he said 2019 would be a “great, complicated year.”
He said: “I want to wish you a very happy New Year. It’s going to be a great year. Complicated, but great.
“People make it overly complicated actually, but I will tell you, there has never been an administration, and I’m very proud of this, that’s done more than the Trump administration in the first two years of office.
“Our economy is doing great. Wages are rising for the first time in many, many years. People are getting more money.”
