An innocent Leeds United fan has become accidentally embroiled in Donald Trump's latest Twitter rant.
The soon-to-be outgoing President of the USA was railing against Fox News on Twitter after turning against the right leaning channel due to their acceptance that Joe Biden won the recent election.
Trump was criticising the fact Fox had invited Pete Buttigieg, mayor of South Bend, Indiana, onto their channel as a guest.
Buttigieg has been nicknamed Alfred E Neuman by Trump due to his resemblance to the Mad Magazine mascot.
Yet, bizarrely, Trump tagged a Leeds United fan with a Twitter name resembling Neuman's into his complaint.
"This is why Fox News daytime and weekend daytime have lost their ratings," he ranted.
"They are abysmal having @****** (Mayor Pete of Indiana's most unsuccessful city, by far! on more than Republicans.
"Many great alternatives are forming and exist. Try OANN and Newsmax among others!"
Yet the decision to tag the Leeds fan - who we've chosen to keep anonymous - is bizarre.
Whilst the user does have a picture of Neuman as his avatar on Twitter, their name is actually spelt differently to Neuman and clearly has nothing to do with the Mad Magazine character.
The Whites fan has just 132 followers and protects his tweets, meaning they are unable to be read by people who do not follow him.
Alongside this, the fan's Twitter biography states that the user is a 'lover of music, boxing and bike racing' and a 'lifelong Leeds United fan'.
The tweet was shared over 12,000 times and garnered over 5,000 replies - most of which also tagged in the innocent Whites fan.
Trump's blunder prompted plenty of replies from confused Leeds fans.
"All Leeds aren't we," one replied.
Another said: "You know that bloke's from Leeds, right?"
