The House of Representatives has voted to impeachment President Donald Trump.
The move in the means the US leader, who was holding a rally at the time of the votes, will now face a Senate trial next month.
Mr Trump described the decision “political suicide march” for the Democrats at a campaign rally he hosted at the same time the charges against him were passed in the House.
The charges to be heard in the Senate trial centre around whether the president withheld military aid from Ukraine in exchange for an investigation into political rivals.
