Donald Trump has said he "enjoyed" a meeting with Boris Johnson at 10 Downing Street last night.
The US President is in London for the Nato summit and said the pair discussed the alliance as well as trade.
He tweeted: "Enjoyed my meeting with Prime Minister @BorisJohnson of the United Kingdom at @10DowningStreet last night.
"Talked about numerous subjects including @NATO and Trade."
He did not go into any further details of the pair's talks.
A Number 10 spokesman confirmed the meeting earlier and said: "The leaders welcomed the recent increases in defence spending by NATO member states and agreed on the need for the Alliance to be unified in the face of new and evolving threats.
"The Prime Minister also updated the President on this afternoon’s meeting between France, Germany, Turkey and the UK to discuss the situation in Syria."
Mr Trump touched down in Stansted on Monday night and spent Tuesday meeting with fellow Nato figureheads.
He had said on Tuesday he was set to meet with Mr Johnson, despite there having been speculation they would not have bilateral talks, in a wide-ranging press conference in which he called the prime minister "very capable".
This came after he said he did not want to get involved in the general election as he did not want to "complicate it", while he also had claimed to have "no thoughts" on it.
As well as holding talks with Mr Trump, Mr Johnson also met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a Number 10 reception yesterday.
They discussed topics such as Syria, Libya and counter-terrorism.
Leaders from Nato's 29 member states will start official talks on Wednesday at The Grove, a country house hotel near Watford.
