Donald Trump last night ramped up a row with Boris Johnson by launching a fresh attack on the Prime Minister's Brexit deal.
The US President doubled down on his warning that the deal could "prohibit" American firms from trading with the UK - hours after Mr Johnson insisted it wouldn't.
The row erupted when Trump told LBC the new pact means the US "can't make a trade deal with the UK".
Yesterday morning Boris Johnson hit back personally, saying: "I don’t wish to cast any aspersions on the President, but in that respect he is patently in error."
Yet last night the President re-stated his position in an interview on the South Lawn of the White House.
He said: "We’re far and away the number-one economy in the world. And if you do it a certain way, we’re prohibited from trading with the UK.

"That would be very bad for the UK because we can do much more business than the European Union."
Trump also restated his calls for Boris Johnson to form an election pact with Nigel Farage.
The lying US President said: "I think Boris will get it right. They’re both friends of mine. What I’d like to see is for Nigel and Boris to come together. I think that’s a possibility here."
He added: "I like them both. I think Boris is the right man for the time. He’s a great gentleman. He’s a wonderful guy. He’s tough. He’s smart.
"And I think he’s going to do something. I just hope he does it so the US - which is by far the biggest economy in the world - it’s not even close."
Mr Johnson was put on the defensive last week after the President said the US "can't make a trade deal with the UK" under the PM's EU withdrawal agreement.
Boris Johnson had boasted he'd be able to do a trade deal with the US after getting rid of Theresa May's 'backstop', which could have trapped the UK in an EU customs union.
But speaking to Nigel Farage on LBC earlier this week Mr Trump said: "To be honest with you... this deal... under certain aspects of the [Brexit] deal... you can't do it, you can't trade.
