Donald Trump has claimed that the 2020 presidential election results may not be known for "years", a week after he called for a delay to the 2020 election.
In a phone call to FOX News, the president expressed his frustrations over the plans made in Nevada to send absentee ballots to all voters for the upcoming election due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Mr Trump has said he believes mail-in voting, which prompted him to call for a delay to the November election, would leave the country open to voter fraud.
In a series of tweets posted on Wednesday, the president said that Nevada has "zero infrastructure for mail-in voting" and "it will be a corrupt disaster if not ended by the courts."
He added it "will take months, or years, to figure out" in Nevada, while praising Florida, which he said has "built a great infrastructure" for mail-in votes.
Mr Trump then claimed that if a temporary restraining order blocking the move in Nevada isn't cleared, it could take "months and months", if not "years", to determine the overall election results.

The Trump Administration filed a lawsuit on Tuesday against Nevada’s major expansion of mail-in voting.
The lawsuit comes after Nevada state legislature passed an election bill that "ensures protections for Nevadans to vote safely at the November election during the pandemic," Governor Steve Sisolak said in a tweet on Monday.

The Trump campaign is now asking a federal judge to issue a temporary restraining order and a preliminary injunction blocking the bill, with Trump saying in his Fox News interview they will have to "see how it works out."
He added: "If it doesn’t work out, you’re not gonna know the November 3 election results, I’m talking for the country… for months and months – actually it could be for years."
