Donald Trump branded 'loser' in spectacular YMCA light show at Scots golf course

Defeated US president Donald Trump has been branded a 'loser' with a huge lights and music display at one of his Scots courses

The Led by Donkeys group posted a video on Twitter to the sounds of the Village People's YMCA at Trump Turnberry.

In response to a Tweet from Trump saying 'RIGGED ELECTION!', the campaigners  projected the massive letters onto the lawn in front of the clubhouse with one of the president's favourite words for his opponents.

As the disco classic plays, the huge letters projected onto the lawn are shown in various colours- with them in the blue and yellow stars of the EU flag and the stars and stripes of the US flag.

The video was accompanied by the message: "We know you’re finding it difficult to accept the election result so we projected it onto your golf course with some familiar music."

It has proved a social media hit, gaining nearly 7,000 'likes' and more than 2,000 retweets.

Trump has refused to concede to Joe Biden despite the Democrat winning the election.

The billionaire president has alleged massive levels of voting fraud which he says has robbed him of victory.

But little evidence has been presented for the accusations.

Last week he appeared to be edging towards acceptance, admitting Biden had won but insisting it was because the vote was 'rigged'.

He has since continued to tweet about alleged rigging of the election.

People sharing the Led by Donkeys video have branded the stunt 'amazing'.

One wrote: "This just makes me happy! I could watch it over and over..."

Another added: "Happy Thanksgiving America."

After taking office, Trump handed the day to day running of his business empire to his children.

It is unclear what the 74-year-old businessman's plans to do if he should concede with speculation that he may come to Scotland in the new year.
