Donald Trump booed by his own fans after declaring he got Covid booster

Former President Donald Trump was roundly jeered by a crowd of his supporters after admitting to getting his Covid booster.

Mr Trump made the disclosure in a chat with former Fox host Bill O’Reilly during the final stop of their The History Tour, a live interview show travelling across the US.

“Both the president and I are vaxxed,” Mr O’Reilly said at the American Airlines Center, drawing some audible groans from the audience, in a video posted by his “No Spin News.”

“Did you get the booster?” he asked the former president. “Yes,” Mr Trump responded. “I got it, too,” Mr O’Reilly said.

“Don’t! Don’t! Don’t! Don’t! Don’t!” Mr Trump told the jeering crowd.

Mr Trump had earlier been cheered after he hit out at any vaccine mandate despite claiming the vaccine had saved millions of lives and avoided another Spanish flu pandemic.

“We got a vaccine done,” he said, telling supporters vaccine hesitancy was “playing into the hands” of his opponents.

“Don’t take it away from ourselves. You’re playing right into their hands when you sort of like, ‘oh the vaccine’ … no mandates, but take credit.”
